We built this Maypole with eight ribbons. It's hand painted with designs from the colonial American needlework. The pole is made without fasteners, instead it is held together with glue and bracing. It is painted with a high quality exterior paint, but its life will depend on the amount of direct sun and weather it gets. It is 12 feet tall and 14 inches at the top.
We placed a sleeve in the ground, which allows us to place and replace it any time.
